Soap and Glory

So yesterday, we decided to head into town and check out the Soap and Glory range.  We have heard alot about the lip-glosses and thought we should check them out for ourselves, so we did just this.

From the look of the counter, the colours were so bright and welcoming, really appealing to the eye, which is always a bonus.

The first thing we decided to check out was the lip-stick range. The colours that were on offer, ranged from nudes to bright pinks, all were really wearable, none were too rash.

The second bonus was the fact the lip-sticks were so creamy, compared to some of the higher end brands. They were durable, with the pictures below showing you the colours on offer, and how they look in the shop lighting.

We decided to do a day test on the range, they were long lasting, through the whole lunch period, but they did start to wear off after around 5 hours.

Our favourite colours were : Blush Pink and Perfect Day, as we felt that these were very bold but still subtle.

After looking at the lip range, we went on to look at the eye shadow collection (lid stuff) . We checked out two palettes. The initial reaction the palettes were that the colours seemed to compliment each other. When we started to swatch the colours, the colours seemed to be less pigmented to hat we initially thought they would be.

There is a nice variety of colours, each palette contains one highlight colour, one accent shade and two other shades that do really compliment each other.

However, we feel that the lack of pigmentation and the fact the shadows smudged very easily made us feel like they weren't really worth the reatil price of £10.
